Description
A three-year-old boy started nose-picking, much to the displeasure of his parents.
All well-intentioned advice and pleas to refrain from doing so (especially in public) failed.
As it continued to increase and he was once again intensely busy picking his nose one day while eating together, his mother lost her patience and shouted in exasperation: “Now you're doing it while eating, stop, I think it's DISGUSTING!!!”
Over the next few weeks and months, a wart formed on the “booger finger” (see photo from the beginning, the wart grew considerably larger). The boy had felt a conflict of attack/contamination concerning the old-mesodermal dermis, which he associated with the finger with which he mainly picked his nose. It was probably the situation in which the mother expressed her own disgust and scolded him.
The wart stayed for many months, because the problem persisted for a long time. Over time, this unpleasant habit subsided considerably and the family also came to terms with the fact that the boy was apparently still too young to be able to break this habit completely. There were also further understanding conversations. The situations became less and less frequent and the parents' admonishments reduced, so that the SBS eventually resolved itself and the wart disappeared on its own.
