Description
After discovering Ingmar's case reports, I had the idea of telling my family's story.
My great-aunt got stomach cancer after my great-uncle retired, and he himself died suddenly of a heart attack.
I only got to know them as a child, when I spent the vacations alone at my grandma's house. That was around 1955, when I was 6 years old.
My great-uncle was the stationmaster, a dazzling figure all his life - dark-haired, tall and slim, and I remember him in uniform at the time.
My grandma always gave me the latest updates when I visited her. Great-aunt Resi was her youngest sister and as a child I learned that it had been a great love story, she had 4 sons, the youngest of whom drowned in the rain barrel at the age of 3. This was an experience my mother witnessed as a young girl and she often told me how Aunt Resi screamed when she discovered the little body. Aunt Resi also had five abortions, my grandmother told me. All of this kept me very busy at the time, especially because there weren't many distractions.
Little by little, I found out what was going on with Aunt Resi and Uncle Hans. At some point he retired - some time later Aunt Resi got stomach cancer and almost her entire stomach was removed. The pretty aunt turned into a little woman with a high-pitched voice, I remember, while Uncle Hans talked about how he ran the household. He proudly told me that the laundry he had washed lay ironed in the wardrobe in the evening. No one could understand it back then, everyone thought it was pretty ridiculous, especially when you looked at him like that, as a man.
I suspect that he tried to build up a new territory at home after he retired, having suddenly lost his previous one as station manager. He has therefore had a loss of territory conflict active since retirement, concerning the coronary arteries. In the same relay, the heartbeat is reduced in the active phase. However, as this meant that he disputed his wife's territory, she reacted with SBS of the lesser curvature of the stomach, i.e. a conflict of territory or identity.
When my grandmother celebrated her 85th birthday 29 years ago, the family came together again. There's a photo of Uncle Hans in a white suit, smiling brightly - a few weeks later he died of a heart attack.
It looks like he was finally able to overcome his loss of territory conflict after a few years. However, since this SBS was active for several years, there was a drastic reduction in heartbeat during the epi-crisis (a possibility of a “heart attack” diagnosis), which he did not survive.
This was a big mystery at the time.
Aunt Resi then blossomed, even though she was a withered old woman, and took part in life again. Nobody messed around in her territory any more.
I myself learned about Germanic medicine 30 years ago at a lecture by Helmut Pilhar. It took me a while to get into it because there weren't many people who knew about it back then and I was laughed at when I talked about it. My knowledge has now picked up speed, I am now 75 and did a 9-day course with Daniel Stoica in Croatia in the summer and now it was time to tell this old story, because it vividly tells why Aunt Resi got stomach cancer and Uncle Hans was torn from life so suddenly. They must have argued a lot and Aunt Resi must have fought a lot for her territory (small curvature of the stomach - territorial anger) and she must have fought for it again. And Uncle Hans didn't have any hobbies back then, so he must have tried to build up a new territory - and seems to have been successful in the end, as the appearance of the epi-crisis in the middle of the conflict-resolved phase shows.
That's how exciting life is.
